Political persecution is related to the upcoming memorial ceremony (As) Agadil Zhanbolat

Zhanat NURKISHEV’S personal vehicle was returned to its owner with difficulty, the employees of the impound lot, despite the provided receipts of timely paid fines, did not return the vehicle until the last moment, chasing through bureaucratic circles. In addition, they illegally photographed the driving licence of those who will drive the car(!?) What is the purpose of this illegal collection of personal data?!

Aset ABISHEV filed a complaint with the police against the officers who tortured him.

And… what a coincidence! Deputy head of the Pavlodar police department, Nurgali OMARBEKOV, was sent on a business trip to Ekibastuz until Friday, in the same direction the activists were going.

Political persecution is related to the upcoming memorial ceremony (As) of Zhanbolat #AGADIL, son of a civil activist Dulat #AGADIL who died of torture in a Kazakhstani pre-trial detention facility. The memorial ceremony is going to be held on 6 November 2021 in #Talapker.

Former political prisoner Aset #ABISHEV was attacked/beaten by police officers.

The car in which three activists were travelling, Zhanat #NURKISHEV, Arman 3IMANDZHANOV and Aset ABISHEV, was stopped by patrol police car No. 649, number plate KZ O554 /14, for violation of traffic rules.

Near the house where the activists stopped, illegal surveillance was carried out all night with the same official car and 5-6 other state vehicles.

Zhanat NURKISHEV admitted administrative offences and did not refuse to pay administrative fines.

Further, the officers demanded a medical examination for alcohol intoxication. The examination showed a negative result of zero, a photo evidence is attached.

While the owner of the car, Zhanat NURKISHEV, was being medically examined,

police officers attacked Aset #ABISHEV, beat him, twisted his arm, went into his pocket (!) and took his car keys. The car was taken to an impound lot. Aset needed an ambulance because of the beating, and his arm was injured. The injuries have been recorded and documented.

Police officers involved in the persecution:

Senior Lieutenant of Police: KANALIYEV Danat Muratkhanuly;

TOKTARBAYEV Nurbek Bolatuly;

The attacker was a police lieutenant KUDAIBERGENOV Nurul Dulatulli;

Police captain KITAYEV Kuandyk Orazaliyevich.

At the moment there is NO legal reason for the car to be held on the impound lot. The imposed administrative fines have been paid, payment receipts are attached. Alcohol intoxication is excluded by the results of the expertise, photos of documents are attached.

We demand that the arbitrary persecution of the activists be stopped and that the car belonging to Zhanat NURKISHEV be returned unhindered from the impound lot.
