On 30 April 2021, at 11:00, an online trial on the politically motivated criminal case under Article 405 Part 1 and Part 2 (“organization and participation in an extremist organization”) against the civil activist Serik ZHAKHIN from the city of Nur-Sultan will be held.

Serik ZHAKHIN is being prosecuted for:
– Participating and calling for peaceful protests;
– Administering a Telegram Chat in which Nur-Sultan activists were members;
– Participating in discussions on the need to organise public gatherings through social networks to print leaflets in order to increase political literacy of citizens and the importance of solidarity.
