Political persecution on 23 October 2021, the day of a scheduled peaceful rally by the peaceful opposition movement “DCK”.
On 23 October, the Specialised Court for Administrative Offences in Uralsk issued a politically motivated decision to impose a 20-day administrative arrest on civil activist #ESKENDIROVA Marua.
The court arrested the activist for her participation in a peaceful protest on 25 September 2021 against the sale of land to foreigners, Chinese expansionism and forced vaccination. The real reason for the arrest was to isolate ESKENDIROVA Marua from participating in peaceful protests on 23 October.
